Oh, and we should establish some meeting points in case we drift away too much." Lowering his head for a while and looking like he is looking for something, Chance suddenly raises his head, facing no one specifically. "We should make those up as we go, but if it is safe enough, we should mark someplace around where we land. At the end of the mission, if for some reason we get separated, return to the last meeting point. We'll wait 16 hours, and if you fail to meet us in this time, we've got to assume you are dead and move on. Everybody got this?"

He ponders, and adds: "How much bird will we have? How deep are this river's darling daughters? And once we get what pitches want, how the ding dong bell we get outta here?"

"Well, it may be, as an alternative. It certainly is more distant from the road, even if the river is wider, and the northernmost should provide us immediate cover. I'm not so sure about the other yet... But good catch, Corporal! If it is deep enough, someone should have a boat around these parts, for fishing or crossing. But, oh well, as the dame says, we'll figure out once we get in contact with them rebels. They should be able to provide us info, or, if it comes to that, a raft."

Looking to the place where they are going to jump, Chance raises his tone one note above and states: "Well, we should be there anytime now. Any suggestions or complaints, now is the time. Except if it is about a fear of heights. That would be far too late a complaint."

After preparing the rest of his equipment, Jack gets up and prepare for the jump, saluting his mates. He took a moment to give a quick look around, searching for his flask and hoping that he hadn't lost it.

Feeling a bit nervous for the moment to come, Ferret quickly folds the map again and tends to his things, also, as a means to keep his head busy. After checking his equipment, he carefully looks around for anything that could have been forgotten by others. He takes a deep breath and asks:

"A'right, anything else a fellow should know before leaving?"

As soon as Farnsworth’s voice fades, you hear the radio’s static again.

"eaven and 'ell, blokes" Says the co-pilot again "'ope ya did everythin' ya need. Nah nickle and dime for regret na. Ya must jump wite na, we can’t fly 'round or the nazis gonna clock the plane."

Suddenly you feel your mouths dry, Killarney above everyone else as he think about his lost flask.  The silence engulf the place like a old friend and slowly you turn your heads to the back of the bomber, where there’s a hatch where should be a turret.

It’s where you going to jump. It’s where the operation starts.


Each of you have one post with maybe a few words, a quick action and then you must jump. If you don't tell how you character jumped, i'll describe it in my next post. But maybe depending on what you say i may concede another post

Jack received the wind in his face with another grim smile. "Let's chucker it mates!" said to Agent Chance, before a quick sprint and jumping down with his open arms.

As if he had a cigar on his hand, Chance waved it in throw-like way. He sighed after seeing the last one of them jumping and grabbed his parachute. He looked briefly to somewhere beyond, uttering silently the only kind of prayer he knew.

"Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion."

And jumped.

The whipping of the wind in your face remembers you that there’s no turning back now. Bellow, the soil rushes towards you almost like a hungry dark beast. Suddenly the realization of all people that must have died since the beginning of the Nazi occupation comes to your mind.

When you pull the parachute’s cord, first comes the drag, and then you feel the cold night breeze. A round full moon it’s on the sky and, miles away of your position, you can see the Castle Karlstein’s silhouette emerging in the night. Before it, you can see the line of the river and what you think to be houses of Krupna village.

As the soil approach, you prepare to land. The wind is still, so you think that wouldn't be too difficult.

Nathan Chance has a rough landing, but he achieved to land in the open, without much problems. A few meters of him, Novakova was almost like a feather, putting her feet on the ground and getting out the parachutes graciously, like she passed most of her life doing it.

Farnsworth and Killarney wasn’t so lucky. The first hesitated for a second before landing and the wind pushed him toward some bushes, but was able to loosen his parachute. On the other hand, Killer was caught in a wild breeze and instead of landing in the ground, was sent to the top of a tree. Both of him are unscathed, maybe with minor bruises, but Killarney is stuck in the branches.

"Damn dis damned tree an' dis damned wind!" Shouted Killarney while fighting with the mess of parachute, branches and leaves of that inconvenient situation. With a quick look, he could see his companions down there safe and sound. With difficulties he reached for his combat knife and started to furiously cut the parachute and some branches so he could move better.
Jack then, started climbing down the tree, with calm movements and an angry mind. "'Ey fellas, wha ye? Oi'm up 'ere, 'eadin' down in a minute." After shouting again, Killarney thought if there were enemies nearby.

"Take your time, sarge. We'll take some here too." Nathan calmly got rid of his parachute and looked around. "Actually, hold it for a moment. You can get use your equipment up there yes? See something from up there, Killarney? Something to follow or shoot, maybe? Ron, make some reconnaissance 'round here, get those binoculars and put them to good use, tell us if you see something we should be worried about. If it is all clear, you can go help him with the tree." Trying to make a mental image of the map and looking in the vicinity, Chance turned to Novakova. "See if you can pinpoint where we are on the map. We should try to make a waypoint here if possible, help me with it"

When he passes close to Novakova and Nathan, with a solicitous look, he offers the map to them. "You talking 'bout this?" he opens a bright smile and averts again.

Nova gets the map, but her vision is troubled by the darkness. She looks for a surface where she can lay the map, then lights her lighter to see it better. She analyzes it and says: "We are somewhere south Krupna sir." and marks their location on the map.

Despite the moon, Killarney can't see much in the night. The Sargent feels a little dizzy, probably because of his rough landing in the tree. He blink a few times, but the surroundings still the same. Killarney only see the open fields, some mounds and a line of trees at some distance. If there was Nazi somewhere around you, they would already be shooting. There are few places to hide.

Down to the ground, Farnsworth excitedly looks around and wiggle as he moves place to place, checking the surroundings. He can't find any Nazi or something that looks more dangerous than a field mice, but somewhere his investigation the ditches a few meters from the group and an odd looking stone he fetched some edible little fruits. He also thinks that, if you are really somewhere south of Krupna, he can find his way there.

Approaching the group again, Ron says, in a low voice - Oy, chinas, me thinks 'might hav' found us sum'thin' for dem Aunties, nuthin' big, but might help, ay." He shows them the fruits. "Me thinks we can found our way to this villa, also. ay. Ye hear me?"
To which direction does Ron think the village is?
Ron approaches Kovakova "Wadja think, we could figure any path?"

After looking around, Jack finally climbs down the tree, without much hurry, but still upset about the landing. Stretching his arms and neck, he meets with his team:
"Couldn't fend anythin' fierce raun mates, if dare were any british raun, they wud be already makin' fire arthur power over us. Wha are we 'eadin' Sir Chance, Miss Novakova?"

Chance gives a glance, seeing the nothingness all around, waiting to see if Novakova has any tips. "In any case, moving somewhere may be better than not moving anywhere at all." Sighed Nathan Chance, wishing the army has spent more time teaching him more field things than to shoot.
